I leave for the Military Base June 28th

Tue May 26, 2009, 9:24 PM
EDIT: It's spelt Jean, not John. Crazy French Spelling.

I sign the 4 year contract to sever in the Canadian Foces on Monday, June the 1st, and swear my loyalty to my Queen and Country. On June 28th I leave by train to Saint Jean's Quebec Military Base for basic training.

I'm going to be so buff.

After that they'll send me to either Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, or British Columbia for further Naval training.

I'm going to be a Naval Mechanical Engineer. My job will include maintaining and repairing the ships engines, as well as maintaing and repairing the hull, and the over all structure of the ship.

I will be Private First Class Thomas Wayne Benson starting June 1st.

I plan to make a full career of this and maybe someday make Captain. Hehe, wouldnt that be awsome? Captain Benson =O

Since I currently have no girlfriend, and I am not overly attached to my family and in addition my two best friends in real life recently betrayed, I have no reason to remain in Ontario, or any reason to maintain a residence here. I'll be living on base or on ship until I actually do meet someone and need a home of my own, so for the next few years Im just going to bank away the cash.

Oh man do they ever pay well right of the bat. Plus so many things they supply for you, its awsome~ Plus I finally get to shoot a gun. I only fired a hunting rifle a few times when I was 12 in Scouts. But that wont nearly be the same.

I feel a little sad when I realise, I really have nothing here. Only my books and collection are all I have and all that weigh me down. But its also... amazing. To realise I am going to be able to roam the world in a huge boat, nothing dragging behind me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a hopeless romantic and want a cute girlfriend... but still... it's nice.

Speraking of which, I was at Anime North 09 this past weekend. Cause of how bad the economy is, my current cooking job has been hurting pretty bad, so I only spent like 30 bucks on swag, unlike my usually 400+ on awsome things for my collection.

But on the bright side, this meant I spent far less time in the sweaty, crowded dealers room or dragging around things I have to worry about, and far more time meeting new people, making friends, and getting TONS and TONS of hugs from all the cute female cosplayers. I even huged a dude cause at the time it was comical.

I met a Hinata cosplayer who was perfectly in character all weekend. She was so darn cute, beign shy, bowing, and stuttering, I lost count of how many times I actually hugged her.

Course I also spent most the weekend high, cant do that any more, the military does random drug testing, but considering I spend only about 60 bucks on weed a year on average, its not like I am going to be dying from withdrawl. Hell I only have like one beer a month on average. But every now and then its real fun to go get crazy...

Oh I also went to the Yaoi North part and was walking around talking with all the girls about Butt sex. It was epic. I think I was the only straight guy in "Gay sex 101" panel.

I also made friends with these three sisters, the one was 24, the other was 22, and the last one was only 11. After only like an hour of hanging out she was acutally calling me "big Brother" she was soooooo cute. She even road on my shoulders for a while, but they were only there for the Friday night.

Oh and there was so many pokemon cosplayers, it was amazing. I couldnt believe how popluar it still was. I think I saw more pokemon than Full metal Alchemist costumes, and I saw NO inuyasha all weekend.

The only sad part, was of the 5 or 6 misty's running around, two were dudes. But the one Misty was really cute. And though its kind of mean to say it, the girl was clearly in the 18 to 20 range, but her breasts were so small and perky it fit PERFECTLY for misty. The only thing I would have suggested to her, would be "wear a bra"

I saw No Toradora costumes, and only one Clannad costume... a girl play Nagisa.... only she was about... 300 pounds to heavy to actually play the part...

So many thunder thighs... *shudders*

But yay for lots of Bunny girl Haruhi's!

Canada has a Queen?...ó.0?

Friend: "I fell asleep listening to Queen -"
Me: "-and woke up gay?"
:iconsatoshisaotome:
Canada, while a separate nation, still hails to the Queen of England out of respect of our heritage. She is on our money, similar to way past presidents appear on American's.

I think I shall like it. It will be tough, and I'll be tired alot, but it will be worth it.
